Description
This XEmacs feature indicated in the modeline if scripting was active in the buffer. See proof-shell.el in PG3.x

Actually, this seems fine really. Now it is pink.

Indicator is there already but not working as expected. Rather than changing minor mode, adjusting the mode-line-format may be appropriate.
