proof-set-value does not handle errors in :eval forms of defpacustom

Hi,

proof-set-value evaluates the :eval form when a defpacustom changes. However, when this eval form triggers an error, it does not reset the variable to the old value.

This ticket is similar to #456. I create it mainly for documentation purposes and use some workaround for now.
