In the *response* buffer the cursor is not visible, but can be moved as expected.

Remark: you can customize the Emacs variable cursor-in-non-selected-window to nil to disable displaying the hollow box (or narrow bar) in windows that are not selected. This is the default XEmacs display behaviour.

This was an intentional change to tidy the display when the window is not selected for editing! Clearly confuses keyboard lovers too much. Reverted to slim bar cursor in current CVS.
